Flight Suits
People have a way of taking apparel designed for one use and making it popular for other uses. Consider the case of flight suits. Designed for use by the military, they are now found in many closets around the world.

Age and size don’t seem to matter when it comes to who can buy flight suits. You find flight suits that are designed for children and as specialty clothing for teens and adults. You can get Nomex flight suits, a Top gun flight suit, and a Blue Angels kids flight suit. To accessorize, you can purchase flight name suit tags in many colors, or you can opt for flight suit nametags with military black leather. Flight suit name patches can be bought in discount retail stores these days, and copies of military slight suits are found in many boutiques.

So the question is not so much whether you can purchase flight suits that will fit you, but should you purchase a flight suit just because they make one that will fit you? The fact of the matter is that not all of us are going to find flight suits comfortable, and not all of us are going to look all that visually appealing when we put on a flight suit. A Blue Angels flight suit with fake plane tickets insignia may look cute on the hanger, but it may not look so good on you.

Of course, the fact is that most of us who really want to wear flight suits will do so whether they look good on us or not. And many of our closest friends will bite their tongues, in an effort to not hurt our feelings. People who don’t like us that much will find some glee in the fact that we are out in public in something that does not show us off to our best advantage, a fact they will be happy to repeat to anyone who is willing to listen.

While it may be hard to so, don your flight suit and stand in front of a full-length mirror. Be brutally honest. If you saw yourself walking down the street in this flight suit, would you be comfortable greeting yourself, or would you run away in terror? Once you have your answer to that question, then you will know whether or not you should own any flight suits.
